# Get a withdrawal

> Check the state of a withdrawal or recovery you requested, by its id.

Returns one withdrawal or recovery, looked up by the `id` from its creation response.

## Endpoint

Needs `wallets:read`. Scoped to your account: an id belonging to someone else comes back as `404`, not `403`, so it never confirms the id exists.

Same shape as [request a withdrawal](/api-reference/wallet-api/withdrawals)'s response. The reason a `failed` withdrawal failed isn't included here — check your dashboard for that.

## Errors

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `401` | Missing or invalid API key |
| `404` | Unknown id, or it belongs to another account |
| `503` | Could not read it right now. Retry |
